Kurt Gilbert
Kurt Gilbert, Owner
Kurt is a Wyoming native that got his start in music when he started playing the trumpet in the fifth grade. He continued on the brass path, and played the mellophone in the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 1980-1986. He then taught for the Troopers from 1987-2001. He stays involved with music and marching by playing in the Casper Municipal Band and writing drill for some of the marching bands around the state. He also sings in his church choir.
Kurt started working at the store in 1990, and has performed the duties required in all of the staff positions currently held by others. In 2012 he became a co-owner of the store. He is also in charge of big ticket inventory items, and is our primary liaison for our major manufacturers. He spends time traveling the state working with music educators to be sure that the needs of students and teachers are being met. He's the face of the store.

Lara Gilbert
Lara Gilbert, Owner
Lara started in music when she joined her school band in fourth grade, and continued playing the saxophone until she was in ninth grade. At a young age, she discovered she enjoyed singing, and sang in choirs throughout secondary school and college, adding musical theatre to her performing interests during that time. She is currently a member of the Casper Civic Chorale, and sings for special services in her church.
Lara brings 20+ years in banking to Hill Music, which she uses as she oversees staff, behind-the-scenes operations and most of the financial aspects of the store.

Kimi Winkler
Kimi Winckler, Merchandise and Marketing
Kimi started playing alto saxophone when she was in fifth grade, and she continued all the way through college. She also took piano and guitar lessons when she was growing up. She is a current member of the Casper Civic Choral, Casper College Concert Band, Casper Municipal Band, Faith Bible Chapel Orchestra, and she is the director of The Faith Bible Chapel Choir.
Kimi started working at Hill Music part time. When the store first opened, she helped design displays for instrument showings. She started working full time at the store about six years ago. More recently, Kimi has increased her workload to include ordering, inventory, and marketing design at the store.

Robert Brackel
Robert Brackel, Guitar Technician and Sales
Robert has been playing the guitar for more than fifteen years and has enjoyed teaching privately for more than ten. Local Casper teacher and musician Stan Kirlin introduced him to teaching the guitar while in high school. He also studied with Tracy Pfau in high school and throughout college, while also performing in Tracy's Juju Jazz group. Currently teaching lessons privately, Robert is an excellent resource and asset to our community.

Ian Gilbert
Ian Gilbert, Manager
Ian is a Wyoming native who took to playing percussion at a young age sitting on his grandmother's kitchen floor banging pots and pans with a wooden spoon. His skills quickly advanced when he began taking lessons at the age of 9. He has played in concert bands, jazz bands, and symphonies continuously since then. He is currently a percussionist with the Casper Municipal Band.

Caleb
Caleb, Inventory Management and Sales
Caleb, a native of Casper, Wyoming, holds a degree in music from the University of Wyoming, where his principal instrument is the French Horn. Additionally, he demonstrates proficiency in playing the Cello and Ukulele. His primary occupation is that of a devoted father to his 13-year-old son, a role he wholeheartedly embraces. Caleb is also actively involved in several musical pursuits, including membership in the Casper Municipal Band, the Casper Community Band, and the Powder River Symphony.

Isaac Miller
Isaac, Instrument Repair Technician
Isaac Miller is a native of Washington State. Having a masters in music degree from the University of Cincinnati, College and Conservatory of Music (CCM) in Oboe performance, he has played in bands and orchestras all over the country. As a band instrument repair technician, Isaac started working on instruments by learning to adjust and clean his own instruments through his mentors. After his master’s degree, he attended Minnesota State College Southeast, Red Wing where he received a certificate in Band Instrument Repair. He has previously worked at Fox products where he inspected oboes and English horns to be sold.

Isaac also teaches woodwind lessons privately covering oboe, beginning clarinet and beginning saxophone. In the past his students have made all state in their respective states and have gone on to play in colligate ensembles.
